What problems do the families that you work with experience?

Every situation is unique and our clients face different issues; however. a common problem is lack of knowledge of family rights when a child becomes involved in the child welfare system. FCRC helps
minimize these concerns by:

  • Educating families about their rights
  • Fostering positive relationships between case workers and affected families
How does FCRC educate and empower clients?

We believe it is important to assure families that they are not alone in their struggles and to encourage them to maintain a positive attitude. We also offer help in the event a situation cannot be resolved between the family and its caseworker.
Family empowerment includes:

  • Supporting and preserving traditional family values, even when a child is removed from his or her home.
  • Decreasing trauma to parents during separation from their children
  • Ensuring children return home with respect for parental authority
What is a Client Service Plan?

A Client Service Plan is a guideline that parents must complete before children can be returned safely to their home. Client Service Plans may include one or more of the following:
Visitation plans, Parenting classes, Safe & stable home environment plan, Substance abuse plan, Domestic violence plan, Counseling plan, and Employment.
